Description

This is not the largest object in the collection, but a nice one, non the less. This little Gouda Pottery vase has a different decor on all sides. A sign of an early piece of Gouda Pottery from the Zuid-Holland factory. The vase has model 93 and is 14.3 cm high and 6.5 cm wide. It is painted with a decoration of purple pansies on a green, yellow, blue and turquoise background. A beautiful color combination. The vase is signed and provided with the factory logo: the Lazarus gate, but other marks are not legible. Judging by the decor, the vase dates from between 1899 and 1904. The object is not in perfect condition. The foot has a small chip and a hairline crack is visible in the neck.
