This vase of Gouda pottery is 21 cm or 8.2 inches high. The vase was made by the pottery factory Zenith, probably in the period between 1918 and 1922. The Zenith factory, owned by the Van der Want family, was mainly known for the production of pipes. It was not until 1918 that the factory started producing earthenware. In the early period of the factory, Zenith worked with fixed decors, which were all given a name. This vase does not have that. The vase is model 22, with decor 2. Therefore it can be assumed that this is a very early example. The vase is in mint condition and has a lovely colour combination of browns, ocher yellow and turquoise.
