Description

This vase was made by the Dutch pottery factory Zuid-Holland from Gouda in the period between 1900 and 1907. Dating this vase is difficult because the Gouda pottery factory did not use year marks in the early years of production. This is a vase with model 68. An elegant design with a wide base that tapers into a narrow neck. The object is painted with purple and red chalices in a symmetrical – typical Art Nouveau – pattern. The vase is 30 cm or 11.8 inch high and 16 cm0r 6.3 inch wide and well signed with the name of the factory and the logo of the Lazarus Gate. The signature of Adriaan Lansaat (A.L) and the remains of the official Gouda seal can be seen very faintly. The vase is in perfect condition.
