Description

This vase was made in 1895 and manufactured by the Dutch pottery factory Rozenburg from The Hague. The vase is model 255 with an elegant curve just below and above the belly. It is painted in a floral decoration in a beautiful colour scheme with beige, brown, light green, ochre yellow and blue tones. The decoration is not symmetrical and therefore different on all sides. You can turn the vase endlessly, and each time you see a different decoration. The object is 21 cm or 8.2 inches high and 9.5 or 3.7 inches wide. The vase is well marked on the bottom. You see the stork logo and the words: Rozenburg Den Haag. You can also see the date letter for 1895: M, and the work order number: 34. In the work order books we found the name Slatla for this number, which presumably refers to the artist. The vase is in a neat condition, but has had a restoration on the neck and foot in the past.
