Description
This pair of antique vases was made by the Zuid-Holland pottery factory from Gouda in The Netherlands. They were produced in the period between 1909 and 1917. The vases are 23.3 cm or 9.2 inches high. This is model 83. The pair is decorated with a NP decor, which is also known as ‘kantjes’. The decor is multi-coloured with purple, orange, pink, yellow, green and red. On the front you see a flower. The back is sparsely decorated with typical ‘kantjes’ elements such as thin lines, dots, stars and wavy lines. The vases are marked at the bottom. You see the logo of the Gouda pottery factory, the words: Zuid Holland Gouda. And a reference to the decor number: 383 and the model number: 83. You also see the VDH signature, of which it is not known to whom it belongs to. The vases are in beautiful mint condition, without damage or restorations. They are only sold as a pair.
