Description

This vase was made by the Dutch Rozenburg pottery company from The Hague in 1896. The vase has a wonderful decor with dandelions. On the vase you can see various elements of this plan: the leaves, the yellow flowers and even the balls or clocks that appear when the flowers have finished blooming. This vase is model 326, a short vase with a wide belly and two ears. The vase is 16.4 cm or 6.5 inches high and 17 cm. or 6.7 inches wide. The vase was painted on April 24, 1896 by W.F.A. Stolle. We found this in the Hague municipal archives using the work order number. The vase is also signed by him (WS). At the bottom you also see the logo of the Rozenburg factory, the year mark for 1896 (NK*) and the work order number: 373. The vase is in excellent condition. You can see some light smudges on the neck and ears, where the paint has not adhered properly, as well as a flea bite on the neck. No damage or restorations have been observed. This vase has been sold.
