Gouda pottery wall charger 7 inch, with NP decor with blue violet

Description

This wall charger was made by the Gouda pottery factory Zuid-Holland in the period between 1908 and 1914. The object is size 1 of 18 cm or 7.1 inches in diameter. The wall charger is painted with a NP decor with a blue violet and green and yellow leaves. You also see a colour area with green, fine, wavy lines and purple stars. This decor is also called ‘kantjes’. The wall charger is painted and signed by an unknown pottery painter with the signature HB. The wall charger is completely intact, except for a tiny hairline above one of the ‘eyes’ in the edge, with which the plate can be hung (it is safe to hang this object). The wall charger has is signed on the bottom with: Zuid Holland Gouda, a reference to the size: 1, the decor number: NP 383, the factory logo and the signature: HB.
