Description
This vase was made by the Dutch pottery Rozenburg from The Hague (Den Haag) in August 1896. This is model 356, a model with an octagonal belly, foot and neck. The vase is painted with a decoration of nasturtium in a great colour scheme with red, green and yellow. In the work order books, the painter Diepersloot is mentioned as the maker of this decor. The vase is 28.5 cm or 11.2 inch high and 18 cm or 7 inch wide (at the ears). The vase is well signed with the name of the factory: Rozenburg Den Haag, the logo of the stork. The NKx for 1896 and the work order number: 740. The vase has a very small chip at the foot and at the top of one of the ears a small piece of glaze is missing (baking error).
