Description

This vase was made in 1902 by the Dutch Art Pottery Factory Rozenburg from The Hague in the Netherlands. The vase is 20 cm or 7,8 inch high and 13.5 cm or 5,3 inch wide. A beautiful design with two bulging shapes on the body and neck of the object The vase has a beautiful decor of birds and flowers. You see three golden pheasants, three poppies and three brightly coloured yellow flowers on a background of dark blue and dark brown. On the neck you can see leaves and buds of the poppy flower. And at the bottom of the vase you see tendrils and branches, around which the birds have pearched their claws. This beautiful piece of Rozenburg pottery is in perfect condition. No damage or restoration is visible. The vase is signed by J.M.G. Brouwer. Jacob Brouwer was born in Leeuwarden, Friesland and works at the factory in The Hague from June 1896 to March 1914. The vase dates from 1902, as can be seen from the year sign in the shape of a sun, on the bottom of the vase.
