This vase of Gouda pottery was made in the period between 1899 and 1904. The vase is 23 cm high and has a decoration of purple and red tulips with green leaves and is painted by J. Hartgring.

Description

This vase of Gouda pottery was made in the period between 1899 and 1904 by the Dutch Art Pottery Factory Zuid-Holland. The vase is 23 cm or 9 inch  high and has a decoration of purple and red tulips with green leaves on a beige background. The top of the vase has yellow motifs, ending in the wide neck of the vase. Its is model 90 by Plateel Bakkerij Zuid-Holland from Gouda. The object is signed with the name of the factory, the factory logo and the monogram JH, which refers to Johannes Hartgring. This is a beautiful piece of Gouda pottery from the early days of the factory, the decor of which is beautifully painted by hand. The object is not in perfect condition. The bottom of the vase has a – barely visible – hairline (see red circle).
