Description
This vase was made by the Arnhemsche Fayance Factory of the brothers Klaas and Jacob Vet in Arnhem, around 1918. The vase has a wide foot, ending in a very long, thin neck. It is model 56 measuring 31 cm or 12.2 inches high and 10.5 cm or 4 inches wide. An elegant pattern has been painted on the vase with very thin grey-green lines. Blue lines are typical for the pottery factory from Arnhem. The lines, decorated with dots, come together in a beautiful illustration with yellow, blue and brick red colours. The vase is signed with the logo of the pottery factory from Arnhem, in the shape of the rooster. You can also see the model number at the bottom: 56 and the monogram of the painter: DZ. It is unknown who that is. The vase has a restored chip at the bottom of the neck and some dark spots on the outer rim.
