Description

This antique pottery vase was made by the Arnhem Fayance factory around 1910. The vase is 26 cm or 10.2 inches high and 11 cm or 4.3 inches wide. The vase, designed by Klaas Vet, has the shape of a triangle, due to the small, straight ears connected to the neck. The vase is model 127 of the Dutch pottery factory from Arnhem. The vase is painted with a pattern of thin blue lines, so typical of Arnhem pottery. The thin lines are decorated with dots and a beautiful iris is painted in the center of the vase. The vase has a stamp on the bottom with the factory logo, the model number: 127 and the painter’s signature: JK. It is probably Johannes Kool. The vase is in good condition except for a break in one of the handles. This has not been restored and is therefore clearly visible.
