Large Holland Utrecht Vase of 70 cm, model 208, around 1900

Description

This large vase was made by the Tile and Faience Factory ‘Holland’ from Utrecht in the period around 1900. This factory is also know under the owners name: Mijnlieff. It is an impressive appearance of 70 cm or 27.5 inch high and 39 cm or 15.3 inch wide. This is model 208. The vase is painted in a beautiful decor of green, blue and beige tones, with a red accent here and there. As you often see with vases from Holland Utrecht, some areas of color have started to flow out a bit in the last firing in the oven. The vase is well signed and in a beautiful condition. No restorations or damage have been observed, except for a single scratch in the glaze (see photo). Due to its impressive size, this is a real eye catcher. A vase of this quality, condition and size is rarely seen on the market.
