Description

This vase was made by the Amsterdam pottery company De Distel, probably around 1900. It is a pear-shaped vase with a wide base of 12 cm or 4.7 inches that ends in a very narrow neck of 2.5 cm or 1 inch. The vase itself is 17 cm or 6.7 inches in height. The vase is sparsely decorated with green and brown figures and very light yellow circles near the neck. Unfortunately, the glaze has some imperfections here and there, due to air bubbles under the glaze. But apart from that, the vase is completely intact. The vase is well signed with the factory name. The letters BN are faintly legible under the logo. These are probably from Bert Nienhuis.
