Description

This lidded vase is model 25 from the Rozenburg factory in The Hague. The object was designed by Theodore Colenbrander, who was the artistic director of Rozenburg from 1884 to 1889. Looking at the production date – August 1898 – it is clear that this lidded vase was produced in the post-Colenbrander era. The object is painted in a beautiful floral decoration with blue, brown, yellow and green. The object is 25.5 cm or 10 inch in height (with lid) and 7.5 cm or 3 inch wide.
The lidded vase is well signed with the brand name: Rozenburg Den Haag. Furthermore, you can see the stork logo at the bottom, the work order number: 869 and the symbol of the crown, for the year 1898. The object has been restored: the vase was broken and has been professionally restored. The lid has also suffered a blow. The pointy bit was broken off and this has also been neatly restored.
