Description
This wall charger of Gouda Art Nouveau pottery has an impressive diameter of 37.2 cm or 14,5 inch. It was made between 1909 and 1917 by the Zuid-Holland Pottery Factory from Gouda in the Netherlands. The wall plate was painted by Francien Sanderus, who worked at the factory from 1898 to 1923. The wall charger has a refined NP-decor with purple flowers. A wall plate with the same size and decor is part of the collection of the Rijksmuseum, the national Arts museum of the Netherlands. The wall plate is in excellent condition. A professional restoration was done in the past on a very small chip on the edge and at the back of the base ring, both are hardly visible.
