Description

This is a set of three wall chargers, made by the Dutch pottery factory Zuid-Holland from Gouda, in the period 1899-1904. All three chargers have a floral decor in a beautiful colour combination of yellow, brown, dark blue, gray or purple, against a light green, almost turquoise background. The largest plate is 25.5 cm or 10 inches wide and the small plates are both 17 cm or 6.7 inches wide. The large plate is painted by Franciscus Fonville and signed with an F. The two small plates are painted by Michel van der Heidt and signed with vdH. The wall chargers are signed with the factory logo of the Gouda pottery factory Zuid-Holland. The objects also bear the mark of the German porcelain factory Waechtersbach where they were manufactured and then later decorated in Gouda. All three wall chargers are in very good condition. One of the three has minuscule damage to the edge (see photo). These objects are only sold as a set.
