Description

This Dutch antique wall charger was made in the early years of the Gouda pottery factory, probably 1898 or 1899. The plate has a particularly symmetrical decor of blue bells. The colour combination is beautiful with the soft lilac of the flowers against a background of brown, yellow, green and black. The decor was painted by Franciscus Fonville. This can be seen from the signature at the bottom of the plate. There you can clearly see an F. The D is a reference to the decor. At the bottom of the sign you will also see the name of the factory: Zuid Holland Gouda and a stamp: number 30. That is the size of this wall charger. The object is 28 cm or 11 inches wide. The plate is in mint condition.
