Description

This small ewer was made by the Dutch pottery factory Zuid-Holland from Gouda between 1907 and 1908. It is model 337, a small ewer measuring 10.5 cm or 4.1 inch high and 13.5 cm or 5.3 inch wide. The design has a wide body with a thin neck and a small spout. The vase is decorated with a decoration of nasturtium against a green and dark blue background. This is a less common green Gouda-decor, where the decoration is somewhat sparse, yet highly stylized. The object is clearly marked with the factory’s name: Made in Zuid-Holland. You can also see the factory logo, in the form of the little Lazarus gate (a momument in the city of Gouda), and the signature of Lambertus Klinkelenberg (L.K.). The object is in mint condition.
