This little Gouda Pottery ewer was painted between 1909 and 1917. It is decorated with the NP-decor of ‘Kantjes’ decor of green patterns and purple flowers. Sold.

Description

A small ewer of Gouda pottery, made in the period between 1909 and 1917 by the Dutch Ceramics Factory Zuid-Holland from Gouda. The little jug has model 343, a low model of 8 cm or 3.14 inches high and a wide belly of 13 cm or 5 inches. The jug has a narrow neck and a short ear. The object was painted in the NP-Decor or ‘kantjes-decor’ with the number P392. This decor has a purple flower with green branches and decorative elements such as dots and wave patterns on a white background. The jug is signed with the factory logo, the numbers for the model and the decor and the monogram TvM, by the painter Teuntje van Mourik. Van Mourik worked from 1907 to 1921 at the Gouda pottery factory. The object is in excellent condition, there is no visible damage. A lovely pieces.
