Description
This flower pot – or cachepot – was made by the Dutch pottery factory ‘Holland’ from Utrecht, also known as ‘Mijnlieff’. This is model 177, a special design in the shape of a star. You can see that especially well at the bottom. At the top you can see that the pot has more surfaces and becomes octagonal. The object is 17.5 cm or 6.9 inches high and 22.5 cm or 8.9 inches wide and has four short ears at the top. The flower pot is painted in a floral decoration with a dark blue, purple, beige and orange colour palette. The object is well signed with the logo of Holland Utrecht: the oak leaf with the monogram of founder and owner Jan-Willem Mijnlieff. At the bottom you can also see the model number stamped: 177 and a reference to the work order number: 458 A with three dots. The cachepot is in mint condition.
