Holland Utrecht wall charger, 43 cm wide, with a floral decoration in very bright colours

Whoever says that Holland Utrecht pottery is so beautiful because of its soft and light colours should take a good look at this stunner! This wall charger is painted with flowers in a very bright colour palette of orange, purple, green, and light blue, with neon yellow and bright green accents. It is practically psychedelic! And no, the plate is not from the sixties, but was made in the period 1895-1904. The wall charger is large: 43 cm and is clearly signed with the factory logo of the Faience and Tile Factory ‘Holland’ from Utrecht, also known as Mijnlieff. On the back, you can also see the model number stamped into the base: 302. You can also see a 360 (presumably a work order number) and the ‘B’ (presumably the year letter for 1896). A striking detail is that this plate has two rings, so you can decide for yourself which direction to hang it. The plate has some scratches in the glaze in the orange sections, and slight discoloration is visible in the light blue section; this is presumably an old restoration. Otherwise, the rim and the foot ring are in good condition. The plate originates from the Meentwijck Collection, of of Hollands most renowned Art Nouveau and Art Deco Collectors.
