Description

This vase was made by the Dutch pottery factory Rozenburg from The Hague in the period between late June and early July 1897. This is model 326, a vase with an extremely wide body that tapers into a very slender neck. There is a small spout at the top of the neck. The vase is 23.7 cm or 9.3 inch high and 28.8 cm or 11.3 inch wide. The vase is painted with a floral decoration featuring brown leaves. There are small, colorful patches with motifs on various sections of the vase. It is a beautiful design! The vase is clearly signed on the bottom with the factory logo, the words: Rozenburg Den Haag. Furthermore, many of the markings are illegible, except for the work order number: 567. Based on this, I was able to identify the painter: M.J. Honing. The vase is in perfect condition.
