Description

This small vase was made by the Rozenburg pottery company from Den Haag (The Hague) in January 1903. This is model 145p, a small vase 12.4 cm 0r 4.8 inch high and 8.8 cm or 3.4 inch wide with a square base and a short, round neck. The vase was painted by Roelof Sterken in a floral decoration featuring flowers and flower buds in a colour scheme of olive green, yellow, turquoise, and red. Please note that the neck of this object is not entirely level. You can also see that the white background shows a light green glow towards the bottom. The vase is in very neat condition. The base, and certainly all four points, are completely intact. The vase also has no crazing of craquelure whatsoever. Only a small chip on the neck has been restored – very professionally. Nothing of this is visible now. Elsewhere in the shop, there is a similar object (also model 145p) with a different decoration.
