Description

This ewer has a beautiful decor of a single, brightly coloured orchid. The object was made by the Zuid-Holland pottery factory from The Netherlands in the period between 1909 and 1914. The ewer is painted with a NP decor with the number 389, a decor characterised by orchids. In this case, the object – apart from the flower – is decorated with green leaves, green dots, yellow stars and black lines that form fanciful spirals. The ewer is signed RR, a signature that probably belongs to Charlotte Delchambre. The object is 17.7 cm high or 6.9 inches and has undergone a restoration to the spout.
