Description

This vase was made by the Zuid-Holland pottery factory from Gouda in the Netherlands. It was made in the period between 1909 and 1917. The vase is model 55, a design with two short ears and a short neck. The vase is 23 cm or 9 inches high and 13 cm or 5.1 inches wide (at the ears). The vase is painted in a beautiful NP decor with a purple flower. Around the flower are some stylized leaves and typical NP style elements, such as wavy lines and dots. The NP decor was designed in 1908 by Willem Hartgring. This decor is also called ‘kantjes’. This vase was painted by Agata Boot. You can see that from the signature on the bottom. There you will also see the factory logo of the Gouda pottery factory and the words: Zuid Holland Gouda. You will also see a reference to the model number: 55, the decor number: 392 and the AB of Agata Boot. The vase is in mint condition.
