This wall charger of Gouda Pottery was made by the Zuid-Holland pottery bakery from Gouda in the year 1917. The design with different orchids is made in the NP-decor style, the NP stands for New Porcelain. With these floral decors on a white background, the Gouda pottery maker wanted to compete with the popular and very precious eggshell porcelain of the Rozenburg pottery factory in The Hague. Objects from Gouda pottery in the NP decor are made of earthenware. This wall plate is painted with different orchids on a white background, model NP010. The artist is Adrijna Frie (monogram AF). The plate of Gouda pottery is 22.2 cm or 8,7 inch wide (size 3) and in excellent condition.
