Gouda pottery wall charger, size 5, decor 279 in yellow, green and turquoise

Description

This wall charger was made by the Zuid-Holland pottery company from Gouda in the period 1907-1908. The wall charger has a great decor in typical Art Nouveau style, with flowers and elegant whiplash motifs. The colour combination of dark green, yellow, purple and turquoise is beautiful. The object is 27.3 cm or 10.7 inches wide. This is size 5 from the Gouda pottery factory. At the bottom you see the logo and an indication of the size: 5 and the decor number: 279. You also see the signature of an unknown pottery painter: R. The wall charger is in good condition. There is a hairline at the back, just like at the top of one of the eyes. But this is not visible from the front. The rims are flawless.
