Description
This large vase is a real eye-catcher because of its height. This is model 283, made by the Dutch pottery factory Rozenburg from The Hague in January 1898. The vase has an octagonal design of both the foot and the belly, ending in a round neck. The vase is 44 cm high and 17 cm wide at the shoulders. The vase is painted with a beautiful decoration of yellow wisteria with green leaves, butterflies and bees. The vase was produced in January 1898 and painted by W.F. Abspoel. The vase is well signed with the logo of Rozenburg pottery company. The year symbol of the crown for 1898 and the work order number: 135. The vase is in good condition. The neck and the sharp edges in the belly and on the shoulders are perfectly intact. The foot has two small restored pieces on one of the points. This can only be seen under ultraviolet light. They have been very professionally restored in the past.
