Description
This pair of small vases was made by the Rozenburg Pottery factory from Den Haag (The Hague) in 1893. The vases are 11.8 cm (4.6 inch) high and 4.5 cm (1.7 inch) wide and painted with various floral motifs. The vases look different on every side. The painted flowers are colorful and imaginative against the white background. A striking detail is the small fly on one of the green leaves, a masterpiece down to the square millimeter! The vases are model 230 and are clearly signed with the factory logo and the name: Rozenburg Den Haag. You can also see the work order number: K383 on the bottom of both vases. The name Johan Hartgring was found in the archives. Both vases have damage to the base. They originate from the Meentwijck Collection.
