Rozenburg wall charger of 33 cm with a decoration of poppies by Sam Schellink
Wall plate of Rozenbrug of 33 cm, painted with a decoration of poppies by Samuel Schellink in 1908.
Description
This wall charger was made by the Dutch pottery factory Rozenburg from The Hague in 1908. The plate was painted by Samuel Schellink and has a beautiful decoration of poppies. The plate is 33 cm or 13 inch in diameter (model 480) and is in a neat condition again after restoration of a few chips on the rim. The plate is well marked with the stamp of the logo (stork, crown and the words: Rozenburg Den Haag), the signature of Samuel Schellink and further a reference to the work order (530) and the year of production (sun and waves = 1908). The number 34 is also scratched into the bottom. This is a reference to the stock of wall charger.
This wall plate is not for sale and belongs to my private collection
