Small vase from Holland Utrecht (Mijnlieff) of 13 cm high, painted with a decor of lotus flowers

Description

This little vase was made by Faience and Tegelfabriek Holland from Utrecht. This factory is also known as Mijnlieff, after its owner Jan-Willem Mijnlieff. The Dutch pottery factory Holland made pottery between 1896 and 1904, and because the vase has no year mark, it must have been made sometime during this period. The vase is small in size with a height of 13 cm or 5.1 inches and a width of 9 cm or 3.5 inches. The vase is painted with a decor of lotus flowers in a beautiful colour scheme of red-brown, white, orange and green-gray. It is in excellent condition, except for a tiny chip on the base ring.
