This antique vase, made by the Zuid-Holland pottery factory from Gouda in the Netherlands, has a special and rare model. It is model 279, a vase with two graceful ears and a very wide neck with pleats. The vase is 19 cm or 7.5 inches high. This model is rarely seen and was made between 1899 and 1908 (this model is not featured in the 1909 catalog of PZH). The vase was painted by Johannes Hartgring, which can be seen from the signature: JH. The vase is decorated with a typical early Gouda decor with elegant shapes and purple poppies. The vase is in perfect condition.
